Hey, everyone, I just wanted to know that i haven't been doing nothing! Lately, I've been brushing up on my painting (no pun intended) and working on some homemade, 2D miniatures from a computer game I've been playing. Soon, I would like to try out the LEGO wargame Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack, since I have a full company built for that.
Other than that, I've been taking it easy and relaxing INDOORS, since it's been around zero degrees Farenheit. Maybe it will warm up and I'll be able to basecoat without using just a brush!
A simple little blog both to record and feature wargames that are easy to play, extremely fun and make you want to play again!

BTP Order!
Hi! My order from Blue Table Painting came today! I haven't taken any pictures yet, but I think I'll put them up soon. I got a 10-Man Tactical Squad of Space Marines, a Space Marine Rhino, a 12-Man Squad of Khorne Bezerkers, a Tau Pirhana (A total impulse buy) and some dice.
BTP was very good about packing and shipping my models so that they stayed safe and secure during their trip. Thanks to everyone at Blue Table Painting for some great service!

Sadly...
Well, unfortunately, Blue Table Painting has cancelled their sponsorship of Creative Wargaming. I'll be taking down their banner shortly.
However, I would like to recommend you to buy from them. I recently had a customer service issue with them that they quickly and happily smoothed out. I also have an order from them on it's way!

Back From Florida
Hey, everyone, I'm back from my 3-day trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida! I had an awesome trip and managed to ride most of the thrill rides at 3 out of 4 parks!
Anyway, while I was walking around in EPCOT's World Showcase: Japan, I stumbled upon this beautiful model kit:
A Japanese model kit?! With robots?! I figured that this would be a perfect souvenir! So, not know much about Gundam at the time, I purchased it.
Three days ago, (Tuesday, the day after I got back) I assembled the standard model of the kit:
Yeah, this took no painting, just decals. He stands a little over 3 inches tall (7.62 centimeters) and is so cute, yet so serious that I just love him! Now, all that's left to do is to build him in his 2 alternate forms! I might post later when I complete those forms, so bye for now!

Um, Wow!
Wow! I'm really disappointed right now. Why? Because of all the hate the new Codex: Tyranids is getting! Now, I can't say much about it because I haven't actually read through it, but still! It can't be all bad! There has to be some good way to play it, right?
Well, now that I've vented a bit, I can tell you some good news! Later this afternoon, I'm heading over to my local game store to get a game of 40K in! Maybe, just maybe, I'll post a battle report.
Finally, I wanted to tell you that I played a new games this weekend. It's Axis and Allies Bandits High and it's about air-to-air combat using some awesome planes!
Anyway, keep your fingers crossed and maybe you'll hear from me later today!

Codex: Tyranids Send-off
Hey, everyone, since the new Tyranids Codex is out and since I do own the 5th edition codex and a few models, I want to send the old codex off with some happy speculations. Now, these are simply my thoughts about some of my favorite units (and models) that I would like to see come back in the new codex and my reasons for liking them. So, in no particular order, let's get started!
1. Old One Eye: I hear you asking? Why would you like an overpriced, underpowered Carnifex? To me, it's not about how he/she/it does in the game, it's about it's story. And how it looks. First of all, I like the bright yellow and red against a black/grey background. Second, I think it has an amazing story attached to it, one of the few Tyranids characters with an impressive background. Thirdly, I think that, if used correctly, he can become an indestructible monster on the battlefield!
2. Tyrant Guard: Okay, I was kind of biased with this one. I happen to like the way the old (5th-edition) Tyrant Guard look and I even own a few models. I also like the idea of them protecting the ultra-powerful Hive Tyrant. However, I don't love their point cost. Finally, I really like the new Tyrant Guard models and I might even be getting a few!
3. Tyranid Warriors: My main reason for liking Tyranid Warriors is their adaptability. I like the way that they can be outfitted with Scything Talons for close-combat or Venom Cannons for tank hunting. I also think their three forms are sort of unique. Warriors are all-around ground units. Shrikes are lightly-armored, versatile scout units. Tyranid Primes are brutal leaders among the Warriors.
Well, I hope you enjoyed some of my musings! If anyone has the new Codex, please, comment and tell me what you think!

Creative Wargaming 2013: The Year in Review
Well, this will officially be my last post for the year, so thank you all for staying with me and reading my blog! I honestly never thought it would get this far! I also want to thank my sponsors, Noble Knight Games and Blue Table Painting. Finally, before I finish for 2013, I wanted to put some of my favorite moments of Creative Wargaming in 2013.
March: Started blogging on Creative Wargaming.
April-May: Discovered and began playing Flipit Paper Combat. Posted my first Battle report. Acquired a lot of Mechwarrior miniatures.
June-July: Began work on a homemade wargame, which still isn't completed.
August: Began playing and collecting Warhammer 40,000.
September-October: Was introduced to the Warhammer 40,000 community and game stores in general.
November-December: Took a lengthy break from wargaming to play a couple of my favorite TCGs.
Once again, thank you to everyone and I'll see you next year!
(HAPPY NEW YEAR!)

I'm Back!
No, I wasn't on a vacation! I simply took a break from wargaming in order to enjoy a bit of TCG fun! But, now I'm back! On Wednesday, (today is Friday) I played a crazy 1v1v1 death match of Flipit Paper Combat. Unfortunately, I kind of got destroyed! But, you win some, you lose some, no? Anyway, since it's almost Christmas Break, I'm looking forward to work and (hopefully) some wargaming! Thanks for staying with me while I took a break!

Early Christmas Presents?
Hey, everyone, two nights ago, I met a friend at a local gaming store and was given these sweet 40K gifts! A well-assembled Ork Trukk and a boxed set of Ork Warbikers! Now I really have my hands full!
In other news, I've been having a lot of fun playing a couple card games, like the Pokemon TCG and the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. THAT is the reason I haven't been posting lately. Shameful, isn't it? The head of Creative Wargaming isn't playing a wargame?! Well, don't worry! Just today I finished painting one of my miniatures!
