YouTube?

Hey, everyone! Creative Wargaming is now on YouTube! Make sure you go to my channel! (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCwD2Qoh4GCEw08N6KCgn8Q) Right now, I don't plan to post a whole lot of videos, but I think it's a nice way to expand the blog! Thanks for reading! (and watching!)

I Hear Them Howling...

The Space Wolves rumors are coming! I have read some of them already, and, unfortunately, I'm not super impressed. However, if the Wolves are getting a new codex, these are a few of the things I'd like to see:

1. A new, wolfy monsterous creature! Wouldn't a close combat behemoth make the already charge-heavy army so much more fun to play? Something kind of like the Chaos Space Marines' Maulerfiend, but a little better.

2. Special Imperial Knight Upgrades. I think that it would be awesome to have a huge Wolf Claw or a similar weapon on an Imperial Knight. In fact, I think all of the Imperial Armies should get army-specific Imperial Knight upgrades.

3. Both of the flyers, the Hunter/Stalker and for some odd reason, I think the Space Wolves should get Ironclad Dreadnoughts.

4. Various point reductions on some of their Independent Characters. I think almost of the Space Wolves' characters are kind of overpriced. Even if their cost was just cut by 25 or 30 points each, they might be more "takable" in smaller games.

5. Improved stats for Fenrisian Wolves. Space Wolves are not a horde army! Make the actual "wolves" part of the Space Wolves better!

Well, now that you've read what I want to see if the Space Wolves Codex comes out soon! Do you agree or disagree? Is there anything that you would change on this list? Let me know!

Test Print!

Haha! Finally! Here is the test result of my CAD-designed miniature! I'm currently keeping any final names for it secret, so you can call it the Delta-b. I decided to print it in two halves to make sure it printed ok.

Completed Commission!

Here is the completed P-38 Lightning commission for my friend! (I didn't take any progress pictures because I worked on very different sections of it at weird times)

As always, thanks for reading!

Underestimated...

Hello, everyone! About a week and a half ago, my friend commissioned me to paint another plane for him. I accepted, thoroughly enjoying these projects. However, I badly underestimated the time the project would take. Now I'm finally on the verge of finishing his miniature! I'll post the "before" and "after" pics soon after I finish!

Bushi Navi International!

Hey, everyone! Last night, the fourth episode of Bushiroad's Bushi Navi International aired live! Since I'm a big fan of Bushiroad's card games, I decided to tune in. It was an awesome show! It's easy to see how much work they put into it and the hosts, Valerie and Kai, are awesome and funny people! Anyway, it was a great show and I'm happy I got to watch some of it! What did you think of last night's episode?

3D Designing

Hello, everyone! I have great news! The 3D printer that I have had access to for some time has come to my house! Although it's not here to stay, I will have full control over it for the summer!

Now, another thing you should know about me is that I enjoy the sometimes-difficult task of designing objects to 3D print. So, I have been working hard on a miniature spaceship to be printed soon! I would show you pictures, but I'd prefer to keep it kind of faceless until the project is complete. Thanks for understanding!

Commissioned Miniature!

So, about a month ago, my friend commissioned me (for free!) to paint some camouflage onto one of his Japanese A6M "Zero"s. Naturally, I said yes! My technique was as follows:

Step 1: I covered the part of the plane I wanted to paint in some thin strips of painters' tape, leaving little triangles and other shapes open.

Step 2: I peeled the painters' tape off and did some freehand painting to fill in some empty spaces.

Step 3: I finished painting the fuselage and tail and added the red dot to the side of the plane.

I hope you liked my little tutorial! If you need to know anything else about the techniques I used, let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!

Back From Vacation II

Well, I'm back from my vacation (that I apologize for not telling you about) in the Black Hills of South Dakota. While the camping up there at 6,000 feet was amazing, I didn't really get any internet. So, imagine my delight when I reached a hotel with wifi and discovered that Orks are, indeed, getting an update! (Please remember that I play Space Wolves AND Orks). I think this is amazing and the Orks 100% deserve it!

Besides that, another great thing has happened! I'm on summer break, now! This means more time for wargaming and painting! Stay tuned for a post about a commissioned miniature I painted before my trip!

P. S. I wasn't completely without any games in the Black Hills, I actually managed to get several games of Cardfight Vanguard in.
